Trekking the Ningaloo Coast

Welcome to Ningaloo — where reef meets range

Ningaloo Reef and Cape Range National Park lie on Western Australia’s North West Cape, where the arid outback meets the Indian Ocean. Exmouth is your gateway to this extraordinary place — a UNESCO World Heritage-listed region rich in biodiversity, ancient landscapes, and deep cultural significance.

For more than 36,000 years, the Yinigudura and Baiyungu peoples have cared for this saltwater country. Their stories live on in every gorge, reef, and range.

Hike through rugged gorges carved by ancient rivers. Camp atop limestone terraces. Wake to the colours of the outback and trek down to the pristine beaches of Ningaloo — where the reef begins just metres from shore.

This is where Australia’s arid heart meets the sea — wild, remote, and unforgettable.

What our trekkers say

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“I’m so glad I stumbled on this tour–it was one of the highlights of my trip! Cape Range is a beautiful place with gorges, creek, interesting creatures, plains and reef. Ian was the perfect guide through the landscape with plenty of information about the formation of the range and some of the plants and animals along the way, but he was also just a great companion for a day in the great outdoors. It felt like we parted as friends and I’ll cherish my memories of the day. Ian supplied binoculars allowing me to spot an orca on the reef from the ridge we were taking a break on which was magic, and I loved seeing all the rock wallabies, bats and birds. There was a fossil of a brain coral reminding us of how the range began, and our walk finished along the beach with its torquoise waters. Overall, Trek Ningaloo offers the chance to explore a beautiful and ancient place and is the perfect addition to a trip around Ningaloo for anyone who likes nature, disconnecting from devices.”

“What an amazing 2 days exploring the vast and captivating landscape Cape Range NP has to offer. Ian is an incredible guide. He taught us so much about the local flora and fauna and brought so much passion and enthusiasm to our trek. The structure of the hike was perfect, a good pace with enough stops to refuel and take in our surroundings. All equipment provided was top notch and the meals and snacks were unreal!! We were so grateful to experience this part of our country that little travel through. It was truly an experience we will remember forever and a great introduction to overnight hikes!! Would 100% recommend Trek Ningaloo to anyone consider them for your next adventure!”
